Creating a university for street entrepreneurs – Kofi Oppong

Once without a home himself, Kofi built a career in sport and social enterprise before founding Urban MBA to create opportunities for other young people – helping them to take the skills they've learnt on the street and applying them to create meaningful impact.

In this talk, Kofi shares some of his personal journey, from rough sleeping to working in the upper echelons of Nike, to returning to his community to try to give back. By helping young people alienated from the system, stay in employment, and dream big for themselves.

The idea is to give them that way of thinking, and demystify a lot of the stuff to do with entrepreneurship. More importantly we offer unlimited mentoring support as well, because this part of entrepreneurship is the most difficult: when it’s all going wrong, what do you do?
